Important Notes & Policies

  1. Delivery & Installation Timeline: Standard turnaround is approximately 7–10 business days from the date of final on-site measurements, order confirmation, deposit payment, and receipt of all required project information, including sink, faucet, cooktop, appliance, and other relevant specifications. Project timelines may vary depending on material availability, project complexity, or circumstances outside of our control.
  2. Payment: A 65% deposit is required to place the material order and begin the production process. The remaining balance is due upon completion of installation.
  3. Job-Site Preparation: The client/general contractor is responsible for ensuring that the job site is fully prepared and accessible before final measurement and installation.
This includes having cabinets installed, secured, level, and in their final position; required countertop supports installed; sink, faucet, cooktop, and appliance selections finalized; existing countertops or other items removed where required; and clear access provided to the installation area. For condo and high-rise projects, the client is responsible for reserving the elevator for a minimum of 2 hours and arranging a suitable loading/parking area close to the building.
4-Job-Site Readiness & Return Trips: If the job site is not ready or accessible on the scheduled installation date and our crew is unable to begin or complete the installation as a result, a return-trip and/or additional service charge may apply.Any delays caused by incomplete cabinetry, missing supports, unavailable fixtures/appliances, restricted access, other trades, or other site conditions outside of our scope may also affect the installation schedule.
5-Scope of Work & Other Trades: Unless specifically stated otherwise on the invoice, MeVa’s scope is limited to the supply, fabrication, delivery, and installation of stone surfaces.
Demolition and disposal, plumbing, electrical work, tiling, cabinetry work or modification, framing, drywall, painting, appliance installation/removal, and other non-stone work are not included in our scope. Our installers will not disconnect, remove, modify, repair, or reinstall work belonging to other trades unless specifically agreed upon in writing and included in the invoice. Please ensure all required preparation is completed before our crew arrives.
6-Demolition & Disposal: Removal and disposal of existing countertops, backsplashes, sinks, plumbing components, or other existing materials are not included unless specifically stated on the invoice.
7-Countertop Support: Structural supports, brackets, framing, plywood/subtops, reinforcement, or other supporting systems required for countertops, overhangs, islands, bars, or similar applications are not included unless specifically stated on the invoice. All required supports must be properly installed, secured, level, and ready before countertop installation.
MeVa is not responsible for damage, movement, cracking, or other issues resulting from inadequate, improperly installed, or subsequently altered cabinetry or support systems.
8-Sinks, Bathtubs, Cooktops & Appliance Templates : Manufacturer specifications, digital templates, drawings, DXF files, PDFs, and online dimensions for sinks, bathtubs, cooktops, and other fixtures or appliances may differ from the actual physical product.
For accurate fabrication, the actual item should be available for verification. Please deliver the relevant sink, fixture, or appliance to our shop or ensure it is physically available at the job site at the time of final measurement.
MeVa is not responsible for fitment issues resulting from incorrect manufacturer information, incorrect model information, product variations, or fixtures/appliances that were not made available for verification before fabrication.
9-Shop Drawings & Client Approval: After final measurements are completed, MeVa will prepare shop drawings showing the fabrication details for the project.
The client/general contractor is responsible for carefully reviewing dimensions, cutouts, overhangs, edge details, seam locations, and other information shown on the drawings.
Fabrication will begin after shop drawing approval. Any changes requested after approval or after fabrication has started may result in additional material, fabrication, modification, or service charges and may affect the project schedule.
10-Natural Stone – Variation & Vein Matching: Granite, marble, quartzite, and other natural stones are naturally occurring materials. Variations in color, tone, veining, pattern, texture, mineral deposits, and other characteristics between slabs and within the same slab are normal and expected characteristics of natural stone and are not considered defects.
Vein matching, bookmatching, or specific slab/pattern orientation is not included as a standard part of our shop drawings or fabrication scope unless specifically shown and noted on the approved drawings. If specific vein matching, bookmatching, slab selection, or orientation is required, it must be discussed and approved before fabrication and may require additional material and/or fabrication costs.
11-Natural Stone Sealing & Maintenance: As part of our standard installation process, MeVa applies Proseal protective sealer to natural stone surfaces after installation. This initial application is not permanent and does not eliminate the need for ongoing maintenance. The client is responsible for the ongoing care, cleaning, protection, and resealing of natural stone. We recommend checking and reapplying an appropriate natural-stone sealer approximately every 2 months, or as required depending on the type of stone, sealer manufacturer’s instructions, and level of use. Ongoing sealing, maintenance, stain prevention, restoration, and future resealing are not included in our contract or warranty unless specifically listed as a separate service on the invoice.
12-Minor Wall & Surface Damage During Installation: Although our installation team takes reasonable precautions to protect the surrounding area, countertop installation involves handling large and heavy materials in confined spaces. Minor wall scuffs, scratches, paint damage, or small touch-ups may occur during normal installation and are not considered installation deficiencies. We recommend completing final painting and touch-ups after countertop installation.
13-Quality Control & Post-Installation Acceptance: Upon completion, our installer will perform a final quality check of the installed stone. The client has 2 calendar days from the installation date to report any visible defects, installation concerns, or deficiencies. Any concerns should be reported to MeVa within this period, preferably with supporting photos.
If no issues are reported within the 2-day period, the project will be considered*inspected, accepted, and completed without any reported deficiencies. Damage occurring after installation due to use, impact, misuse, improper cleaning or maintenance, work performed by other trades, movement or modification of cabinets/supports, or other external causes—including scratches, chips, cracks, and staining—is not considered an installation deficiency.
14-Fabrication & Installation Warranty: MeVa provides a limited workmanship warranty covering deficiencies directly related to our fabrication and installation:
Residential Projects:1 year from the installation date. Commercial Projects:3 months from the installation date. This workmanship warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, natural characteristics or variations of stone, staining, misuse, impact damage, improper cleaning or maintenance, building movement, cabinet or support movement/failure, damage caused by other trades, or modifications made after installation.
15-Material Warranty: Material warranties, where applicable, are provided according to the respective manufacturer or supplier’s warranty terms and conditions.MeVa’s fabrication and installation warranty is separate from the manufacturer’s material warranty. Any repair, adjustment, replacement, removal, reinstallation, transportation, or other service that is not covered by MeVa’s workmanship warranty may be subject to additional labor and service charges. 16-Shop Drawing Scope, Coordination & Final Acceptance: MeVa’s shop drawings are stone fabrication shop drawings only and are limited to the stone-related portion of our contracted scope of work. They are not architectural, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, appliance, structural, or other trade coordination drawings. The client/general contractor is responsible for coordinating the approved stone shop drawings with cabinetry, appliances, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, walls, finishes, supports, and all other trades or project requirements before approving the drawings.
17 – Project Photography, Video & Marketing Authorization: MeVa Granite Ltd. may photograph or record videos of the project during fabrication, installation, and upon completion for documentation, portfolio, promotional, advertising, website, social media, and other marketing purposes. By approving the shop drawings, the client acknowledges and agrees that MeVa Granite Ltd. may use, publish, reproduce, and share photographs and videos of the completed work without additional notification, approval, or compensation, unless the client specifically requests otherwise in writing before the photographs or videos are taken or published.
MeVa will take reasonable precautions to protect client privacy and will not intentionally disclose personal information, residential addresses, or identifying details without separate consent.
Clients who do not wish to have their project photographed, recorded, or used for marketing purposes must notify MeVa Granite Ltd. in writing before fabrication or installation. 18-By approving the shop drawings, the client/general contractor confirms that they have reviewed and accepted all dimensions, measurements, cutouts, overhangs, edge details, seam locations, clearances, and all other stone-related details shown on the drawings and that they are suitable for the project. Approval of the shop drawings also constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of the terms, conditions, scope limitations, and policies stated herein, unless otherwise specifically agreed to in writing by MeVa Granite Ltd.

Once approval is provided, MeVa will proceed with fabrication based on the approved drawings.
Any changes, discrepancies, or coordination issues identified afterward may require additional charges and may affect the project schedule.
